Dassault Systèmes, Cadence Design collabs for new electromechanical system

The partnership hopes to accelerate mechatronics system development while optimising designs for various factors such as performance, reliability, and cost.

Dassault Systèmes and Cadence Design Systems have announced their partnership during the 3DEXPERIENCE World on 12 Feb, an extension of their strategic partnership. The joint solution is set to launch in the second quarter of 2024.

They're integrating AI-driven Cadence OrCAD-X and Allegro-X with Dassault Systèmes’ extended 3DEXPERIENCE Works portfolio for SOLIDWORKS customers. 

This facilitates seamless collaboration across PCB, 3D mechanical design, and simulation, offering up to 5X faster design turnaround time.

The integration aims to accelerate mechatronics system development while optimising designs for various factors such as performance, reliability, and cost.

It provides a scalable solution for companies of all sizes, from startups to enterprises.

Kimball Cluff, EVP of Software Sales at GoEngineer, noted the importance of synergistic solutions to prevent time-to-market delays, emphasizing the user-friendly experience of this new cloud-enabled offering.

Tom Beckley, SVP at Cadence, highlighted the increasing product complexity across industries and emphasized Cadence's leadership in AI tools for advanced IC packaging and PCB design, now enhanced with Dassault Systèmes’ 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
